EdTech Strategy Lab: Empowering the Ecosystem
Join the EdTech Strategy Labs Project at UNESCO headquarters in Paris on the 4th of December to understand key findings from the past year of active research and stakeholder engagement.
Learn from the workshops and listening sessions we conducted to gather insights from key stakeholders on building trust, understanding and creating evidence, and developing solutions to promote evidence-informed decision-making in EdTech.
Discover the project’s key findings and come together with over 100 participants for this one-day session where we look into evidence-informed evaluation of EdTech and its integrated into the actions of all stakeholders, from development to policy implementation and classroom practice.

Digital with Purpose Summit Workshop
Join the EdTech Strategy Lab team at the Digital with Purpose Summit in Cascais Portugal for an in-person workshop on Thursday 11 July.
The 90 minute workshop will focus on facilitating discussions on the importance of evidence-based EdTech partnerships and the issue of trust. Attendees will be able to share their unique perspectives through participating in a series of engaging Clarifying Challenges and Showcasing Solutions formats with the support of industry experts to help guide the conversations.
We’ll also share initial findings about the topics of evidence and quality assurance in EdTech that we’ve compiled through workshops, interviews and research initiatives with decision makers from across Europe.
There will also be the opportunity to learn more about joining the Digital With Purpose Performance Framework movement and how to contribute toward driving transformational change for a sustainable future.

Building EdTech Trust & Evidence: In-Person Workshop with UCL Academics
The UCL Centre for Digital Innovation Challenges is a year-long initiative with the aim to identify and better understand real-world, user-driven challenges in the adoption of digital innovations across healthcare and education.
The EdTech edition of the Challenges is co-hosted with the EdTech Strategy Lab - the primary objective of this half-day Challenges workshop is to create a series of recommendations and activities roadmap for stakeholders to help solve the issues of evidence, trust, partnerships and quality assurance in education.
The workshop will be divided into four parts - the first provides a series of short Context Keynotes, then moving into group work Clarifying Challenges, followed by Showcasing Solutions and finally summarising ‘What’s Still Missing’.
With the support of our ecosystem partners - UCL Institute of Education, UCL Knowledge Lab, Amazon Web Services, European EdTech Alliance and the Jacobs Foundation - the event will bring together researchers, industry experts, practitioners, EdTech businesses and framework developers to clarify challenges, showcase existing solutions and explore future collaboration opportunities.

Tailored for evaluation developers, this 90 minute workshop will be moderated by the European EdTech Alliance and will include a joint presentation by Jussi Savolainen, Product Lead for the Learning Cabinet Platform, and Milja Laakso, Innovation Specialist (EdTech Portfolio) from UNICEF.

EdTech Austria Workshops
Join us at the annual EdTech Austria summit to engage in a series of Clarifying Challenges formats during two workshops in the networking area. Featuring experts who will co-facilitate the sessions with us - this is a great opportunity to explore the role trust and evidence plays within the Austrian education system.
SETT Workshop: EdTech Quality Assurance What Works?
The aim of the session is to engage with the dynamic community of SETT educators, practitioners, school leaders and education researchers during this interactive and engaging 60-minute workshop.
We’ll share initial findings about the topics of evidence and quality assurance in EdTech, gathered through the EdTech Strategy Lab and EmpowerED projects. We will also facilitate discussions about the importance of evidence-backed EdTech, partnerships and the issue of trust.
We want to hear about your experience with evaluating digital learning resources and to understand your needs and opportunities when it comes to procuring, integrating and evaluating EdTech products. Our partners iFous and Swedish EdTest will also be offering helpful resources, including complimentary access to their guide on AI in education.
In collaboration with Ifous and EmpowerED, the European EdTech Alliance (EEA) will be hosting this breakfast workshop on evidence and quality assurance as part of the EdTech Strategy Lab event series.

UNESCO Global Education Coalition
The EdTech Strategy Lab team will be hosting the Education Transformation Roundtable Workshop: Towards an international alliance of EdTech coalitions for SDG 4: Global challenges, national resonance.
The workshop intends to guide participants towards a shared vision and concrete steps for the formation and operation of a global EdTech alliance with quality assurance at the centre (creation of a collaborative, evidence-driven ecosystem that supports the development and dissemination of high-quality EdTech solutions worldwide).
